Bessie Coleman Flight School (Grades 4–8)
Come fly with us and learn about an icon of the skies! Fly in a 360° flight simulator! Learn to create record-breaking origami airplanes. Build a glider that can do stunts. Take STE(A)M fun to new heights by learning about aerospace engineering through interactive activities. Learn about Bessie Coleman, the first Black woman to get a pilot’s license and become a stunt pilot. It’s time for takeoff!
- For youth in grades 4–8
- Single-day camps from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Each session: $100 per camper ($90 for Griffin MSI members)
- Lunch not provided / Snacks provided

The Griffin Museum of Science and Industry offers a range of opportunities for youth to learn all about STE(A)M in fun, hands-on, and exciting ways, within the walls of our world-class Museum!
Our Student Experiences team, who present our Learning Labs for school groups, lead single-day experiences for youth to learn about different STE(A)M-related topics and careers through hands-on experiences and activities, our incredible Museum exhibits, and collaborations with like-minded students.
Scholarships for camp fees are available for students and their families who demonstrate financial need. Contact us for details.
