The Learning Lab experience isn't just for field trips anymore!
Put the field trip experience into any trip to Griffin MSI with our immersive Learning Labs. Originally created for school groups, our popular Learning Labs are now available in versions that fit perfectly into your visit. Each lab session introduces you to a scientific field and challenges you with activities that put your learning to work. What must you consider when designing a bridge? How do analyze a fingerprint?
There's one lab offered each day, with capacity extremely limited to maintain physical distancing between tables. (See the schedule below.) Add a little discovery to your visit with a Learning Lab — no school bus necessary.
For ages 10 and up. Those under age 16 must be accompanied by a Learning Lab-ticketed chaperone (18 or older). Learning Labs are not included in Museum Entry and require additional timed-entry tickets.
Available Learning Labs
Available sessions and times may vary and can be purchased via online ticketing. Capacity is very limited.
Crime Lab
Collect and analyze fingerprints and extract a colorful clue from markers in this introductory forensic science lab! Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Engineering Design
Become a civil engineer to design, build and test bridges using the engineering design cycle. Thursdays and Saturdays at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
