Lighting

Lighting is crucial to visual storytelling. Light tells the audience where to look and conveys both feeling and location. Virtual lighting is also designed to interact with characters and objects in particular ways. Creating believable lighting gets even trickier when scenes are underwater, as in Finding Nemo.

In Lighting, you can:

Experiment with lighting a large-scale Dory model • Light physical and virtual sets from Up! • Experiment with properties of virtual light • Hear from Pixar technical directors
