Building Preservation
Griffin MSI’s lakefront home was born in 1893 as the Palace of Fine Arts, an anchor for the fabled World’s Columbian Exposition. Today, it stands both as legacy of that historic fair and as a showplace for the creative genius in all of us. But 127 years of time, weather and normal use have inevitably taken their toll on the building.
Over the last three years, Griffin MSI’s Facilities Team has worked to repair, protect and our beloved building. Our extensive preservation efforts include replacing old stone, wires and pipes, sealing roofs and joints and cleaning the façade to ensure that our building continues to serve guests well into the next century. As you will see from our video, this landmark building has never looked better!
