A panel of scientists and educators will review every application. They will evaluate each proposal, scoring it according to the following criteria:

Program Description and Logistics – 40%

The leading programs will offer clearly defined goals and learning objectives, activities that support skills development and alignment with the project’s goals. They will serve the intended audience and produce measurable and impactful outcomes.

Environment and Equity Focus – 35%

Winning projects will seek to make a measurable impact in the field of environmental sustainability and inspire careers in the environmental sector. The project should also integrate equity and social justice into its themes, goals and operations.

Project Budget – 20%

The top submissions will propose an appropriate budget that can achieve program goals while demonstrating the need for this grant.

Supplemental Information – 5%

Collaborative partnerships and supplemental materials will be assessed for their contributions to the overall application.
