Tortas de Papa Con Guacamole

These easy-to-make potato patties with guacamole are guaranteed to be a crowd pleaser. 

4 to 6 servings 

Ingredients

3 large potatoes
250 grams (8.75 ounces) corn dough
100 grams (3.5 ounces) shredded cheese
Oil for frying
3 ripe avocados, peeled, seeded
1 tablespoon grated onion
1 tomato, chopped

Recipe preparation

Steam the potatoes in a steamer until tender; cool and peel. Mash in a bowl with the corn dough and cheese. Shape the mixture into patties. Heat the oil in a skillet. Fry the patties until golden brown on each side. Drain on paper towels. Mash the avocados with the onion and tomato in a small bowl to make the guacamole. Top the potato patties with the guacamole.
