Experience the Capture

The U-505—the only German submarine captured by the U.S. Navy during World War II—is now part of a new 35,000-square-foot interactive exhibit. A special behind-the-scenes tour of the U-505 will take place on select Sunday mornings. This exclusive, private group tour begins at 9 a.m. with a continental breakfast and presentation by a Museum exhibit expert about the U-505. Guests will then take a guided tour of the exhibit and on-board tour of the submarine. The tour lasts approximately 2-1/2 hours. Since general admission is included with this tour, guests may enjoy the rest of the day at the Museum.

The U-505 Behind-the-Scenes tour will be offered at 9 a.m. on the following Sundays in 2009:

July 26
August 16
September 6
October 4
November 8
December 6
