Through videoconferencing technology in the Museum’s state-of-the art e-Suite, this once-in-a-lifetime experience connects you LIVE to the operating room at Advocate Christ Medical Center to participate in live, open-heart surgery. You will be able to ask the surgical team, in real-time, questions about the surgery and heart health. The Museum’s on-site facilitators are also able to explain the procedure and answer any questions you and your family may have.
Adults and children 12 and older will find this experience to be a unique journey into an operating room—often restricted to professionals. (We are sorry, but there are no exceptions to the minimum age of 12 years.) Don’t miss this amazing chance to learn the importance of heart health and to witness, live, a life-saving and life-changing surgical procedure.
