Please be prepared with the following information:
- Number of children and adults in your group
- Whether you are interested in general admission only, general admission with Omnimax® or 3-D movie, and any up-charge exhibits
- Preferred dates and times (Omnimax® seating is limited, so please call early)

Planning Your Tour Group's Visit
An advance reservation is required for all groups. Groups without an advance reservation will be charged the regular, full-price admission and will be issued tickets in the Great Hall, not the Group Center.
Please make your reservation at least four (4) weeks in advance. For reservations during peak season (November/December and April/May), please call three to six months in advance to ensure availability.
If you plan to include a learning lab, Omnimax® movie or special exhibit in your tour group's visit, please be sure to make these reservations along with your general admission reservation. We recommended making reservations for learning labs and Omnimax® at least four (4) weeks in advance.
Museum Chaperone Policy
The Museum's chaperone ratio is one chaperone for every 10 children. For children six to eight years of age, one chaperone for every five students is required. Any adults in excess of this ratio will be charged the "extra chaperone" rate. Pre-registration is required for all teachers, chaperones and children. Full retail admission pricing will apply for those not pre-registered and payment will be due upon arrival.
Reservation Confirmation
You will receive a confirmation packet from the Museum within six to eight business days after submitting/making your reservation. The packet will contain a Group Visit Confirmation, bus driver arrival and drop-off information and a list of what to expect when your group arrives at the Museum. The tour group leader will need to present the Group Visit Confirmation upon arrival at the Museum. If you do not receive your confirmation packet, please contact the Museum by calling (773) 684-1414.
The Visitation Agreement must be signed by the group leader and returned to the Museum upon check-in on the day of your visit. Please be sure to bring your Group Visit Confirmation the day of your visit to ensure smooth entry into the Museum.
Payment
Full payment is due 14 days in advance of your group visit unless you have made special arrangements with the Museum during the advance reservation process.
Please note: Without full payment 14 days in advance of your visit, your reservation will be canceled.
You may call the Museum to pay with a credit card: (773) 684-1414. Accepted credit cards: American Express, Diners Club, Discover Card, MasterCard and Visa.
