Policies and Procedures
Reservation Policy
Complete and submit the Request for Registration. Once your reservation has been confirmed, 30% of total payment is due to hold space for your group. The balance due is required four weeks prior to the event. If full payment is not received at this time, we cannot guarantee your group's reservation. Reservations will be confirmed upon receipt of full payment. All reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. We reserve the right to limit the number of attendees for each event.
Payment Policy
- Thirty percent (30%) of total payment is due to hold space for your group.
- The balance due is required 4 weeks prior to the event.
- If full payment is not received at this time, we cannot guarantee your group's reservation.
- Reservations will be confirmed upon receipt of full payment.
Group Leader Policy
To guarantee your group's reservation, each Group Leader must provide a roster listing the names of each person in his/her group. The Group Leader is responsible for communicating information from Snoozeum mailings to his/her group.
Cancellation Policy
- The Museum of Science and Industry reserves the right to cancel at any time.
- All group cancellations must be received in writing no later than 4 weeks prior to the event date. All refunds will be processed minus a $25 administrative fee.
- Any cancellations received less than 4 weeks prior to the event will be refunded at fifty (50%) percent up to one week before the event.
- Any tickets to be refunded must be returned and received by the Museum before a refund will be issued.
- All cancellations must come from the group leader.
No refunds will be given the week before, the day of the event or after the event.
Rules and Guidelines
We want everyone to have a fun and safe time. Please help us by following these rules and guidelines.
- Chaperones are responsible for the behavior of their groups AT ALL TIMES. Children are expected to be respectful of others, to walk (not run) and to not play on stairways, escalators or elevators.
- Chaperones are required to effectively accompany children AT ALL TIMES.
- Guests must wear shoes at all times when walking around the Museum (even at night).
- Keep all sleeping gear rolled up against the wall until lights out so that all participants can enjoy our exhibits.
- Keep marked exits clear at all times. Museum staff will check areas at lights out to be sure that exits and walkways are clear for the night.
- No food or drink is permitted in exhibits or sleep areas. You may eat and drink in the designated area in the Lower Court. Alcohol is strictly prohibited!
- Lights out and observe quiet after 12:00 a.m.
- If you have a problem with your sleeping area or an emergency within your group, contact Museum staff or a uniformed Security Officer. Museum staff and Security Officers patrol the premises all night!
- Should an emergency arise, you will be directed what to do by Museum staff and uniformed Security personnel. Please follow their directions quickly and quietly.
- Groups must clean up after themselves within their designated sleep area before 8:00 am.
- Keep in mind this is an event for youth audiences. Safety is our number one concern. Groups not adhering to these policies and procedures or to the safety concerns of Museum staff or Security personnel may be asked to leave at any time, without a refund!
