Annual Fund
Remember descending the Coal Mine for the first time? Strolling down the cobblestone walkway of Yesterday's Main Street? Coming face to face with a real captured World War II German submarine?
The Museum's Annual Fund plays a key role in keeping your favorite exhibits in top-notch condition while maintaining our building—the only remaining building from the 1893 Columbian Exposition. By contributing to the Museum's Annual Fund, you are supporting Science Rediscovered and educational opportunities and programs for students and teachers both at the Museum and in the community.
The Museum of Science and Industry is about captivating experiences and a-ha moments - realizing something you never knew before. We are about learning by touching, listening, watching and doing, not just looking at silent artifacts behind a glass case. About 1.5 million people visit each year. That's three million hands - 15 million fingers. As you can imagine, our "hands-on" philosophy takes a bit of a toll on our exhibits.
Your contribution to the Museum's Annual Fund helps us keep your favorites in pristine condition for millions of future guests to enjoy. Your support also supports the larger Science Rediscovered effort to achieve our important vision to inspire and motivate our children to achieve their full potential in the fields of science, technology, medicine and engineering.
We welcome gifts of any amount; a gift of $1,000 or more entitles you to exclusive Columbian Society benefits.
Gifts of $100 or more will be listed in the Museum's Annual Report. All donors receive a complimentary subscription to the Museum's Science Rediscovered Campaign Newsletter.
