MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND INDUSTRY TO TESTIFY BEFORE CONGRESS ON THE ROLE MUSEUMS PLAY IN PROMOTING SCIENCE LEARNING
Chicago (February 26, 2009)—On the heels of a new report by the National Academy of Sciences on science learning in informal environments, the Museum of Science and Industry will speak before a Congressional subcommittee on the leadership role of museums in improving science education.
The House Subcommittee on Research and Science Education, chaired by U.S. Rep. Daniel Lipinski (D-IL), is hearing testimony on the topic “Beyond the Classroom: Informal STEM Education.”
